You're describing exactly what I want to build... Although ABS is not a big factor for me. FXR frame, S&S crate, aluminum swingarm, a competent fork and brakes. done.

Yeah, ABS is honestly the driving factor. That and 49mm forks so I can use Ohlins carts (I won't bastardize my pristine FXR2's forks). I've had ABS save my ***, granted only once. But once is all it takes. Maybe a better rider doesn't need/want ABS as much as I do, but I look at it the same way I explain to all my anti-gun "friends", when they ask me why I need mine:

"I'd rather have it and not need it, then need it and not have it..."
