Default Spoke torque

I ordered a spoke torque wrench from fasst company today. It turns out their preset wrenches are set to 48 inch lbs. The manual says 55 inch lbs. Fasst company said they ship a lot of presets to harley dealers all at 48 inch lbs. Is this going to be an ok torque value?

I think 48 is going to be okay. 7in/lb diff is not huge... and as long as they all are 48, I think you're fine.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking 48 would be ok but I like to go by the manual.

When I laced mine, I did 55 .. bought a torque wrench that would do it - adjustable.

I'm not lacing a wheel. Checking torque as required during 1000 mile service. Thanks .I am going to pick up an adjustable wrench though. Anyone know the nipple size on a 2016 wide glide?

I took care of it. I had fasst company preset the wrench at 55 inch lbs. I just need to know the nipple size on a 2016 wide glide..

I don't have a metric ruler. 6mm is to big and 5 mm Is to small.none of my standard wrenches fit. I don't have a 5.5mm wrench .I just thought someone might know off the top of their head.

I don't have a modern OEM setup to measure or I would.

Harbor Freight sells a nice digital (in/mm) caliper for under $20... Might be surprised how often you use one once you have one.

Of course, a few quick calculations can convert fractional inches to mm...if you have a way to measure in inches.
