I have the Kyuriyakin Premium Mini Floorboards fxrnutt linked above, used in place of mid pegs, and can confirm quality is excellent, and they are a great alternative to pegs.
They have three different holes for positioning the boards in relation to the adapter units (either further forward or back), and can be rotated (they have little radial grooves which really lock the board in position once the bolt is tightened, so you can really tune it to your preference. Make sure you get the right adapters, as they also make them for metric bikes.
I put them as far back as possible, and sit my heel an mid-foot on them (ie my toes extend over the front. I found that gave me the best support for my ankle, foot and leg, yet allowed met to rotate my foot easily on the front edge of the board for changing gears etc.

I ended up adding the Harley floorboard kit after a lot of experimenting with my 13 Super Glide. I have had the kuriakan mini with stirrups, switched to HD further forward and finally went to full floor boards. Love the full floorboards, they are not cheap to buy but I really like the positioning.
I tried San Diego Customs Mini Floor Boards, which was my first time with floor boards. Wasn't a fan of the static position of my feet and being unable to roll my feet around, guess I'm just not a floor board kind of guy. Great product though.
