Default What the problem is?

Quick recap of the symptoms of my 07 FXDL.
Runs good, mostly.

When I get on the highway it runs good. After I get off, it will just die at a stop light or stop sign.
when this does happen it either; dies, has a hard time idling (low idle), or i have to keep revs up.
Start it back up it runs good. Sometimes this happens, sometimes it doesn't. Hit or miss.
When it does happen, it is after highway speeds to a stop.
I also have noticed a precursor; it backfires when I let off the throttle. not normal backfires either.

I cleaned up the throttle body, cleaned the IAC valve (It looked nasty in there)
I also went ahead and put new plugs in. The old plugs still looked alright.
Went to ride today and still does it inconsistently after long stretches.
Not sure if its still dirty, a previous owner put to much oil in, or maybe another part like a sensor
I was thinking about pulling the throttle body off, cleaning all the parts and connectors.
If it was a carb, Id say it would be a lean pilot jet and fuel screw adjustment.

Not too familiar with FI motors. Help me out a little with all the connectors and stuff.
Ive already searched the forums for it, I've already done some work. Just looking for extra advise.
I don't wanna hear that this is over posted and over talked about BS, just looking for help and information, links to other forums and such.
Obviously if you've read this whole description, you won't.

I believe it has a fuelpak on it, has vance and hines exhaust, and arleen ness filter
Motor is stock, but other than that I think thats is it.

PS. I posted a new members thread in the new members forums so check that out if you haven't

Thanks y'all..

First step is to pull DTC / Trouble Codes. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...ar-them-4.html

If you don't find any codes here is a good thread with other areas to check:

Check the part number of your fuel injectors. There were a set that were recalled due to the spray pattern and stalling

If you have had the bike a long time and it just started doing it and you speedo isn't going nuts, then clean the iac motor.

If your speedo is acting funny too then clean/replace your speed sensor

Make sure you don't have a dirty/clogged fuel filter hidden somewhere. Then what misfit ^^ said.

I did ream my codes,
b1008- trip button I believe. Make sense because somtimes it acts up
b1121
b1122
b1125
theese three seemed to be connected to turn signals. Which seems alright because the turn signals are not on the bike.

I’ll see if my speedo acts up when this happens. I will clean fuel filter and look at fuel line. A lot of information out there, trying to rule out all the simple stuff.
Still very ridable, usually only happens once in a 1-2 hour ride.

Check the fuel pump. When I opened up the tank on my 09 after I got it the fuel sock was in a million little pieces with one piece stuck in the pump.

When you run autotune on the fuel pak does it find anything weird as far as fuel cut on decel?

Ill check that out
Dude I have no idea how to do any of the efi stuff including this fuel pak autotune you speak of lol. I’ll need to do a little more research so I can get familiar. I’ve just been around carbureters my whole life. All this is new to me haha.
Btw what are the different tunes, and the auto tune you are talking about?

Talking

Fuel Pressure Regulator. Rebuild kit is $30. Get a fuel pressure tester at home depot. There's Youtube video that shows you how to test it. Really simple.
