Default Vibration cured Finally!!

After a year of replacing parts, finally got around to the rear mount. Back to normal! Factory mount cured it for $100. The old one looks perfect, so maybe it was just loose, don't know. My Indy changed it. Now to cure that shuddering at idle.

i think that rear mount is often overlooked. did you cut the hump out of the middle like the service notification for the front mount?

Have you tried Heavy Fork Oil? Goes a long way to solving that shudder problem.

Bike is at a shop. He's changing both mounts and swears that's the problem, even though I just changed the rear mount. Fork oil doesn't go bad in one day. The shuddering is caused by engine riding on the cross member.

Fkd again!! The rear mount was the problem but the new one caused the engine to bang against the cross-member. Tried another shop, mechanic acts like he's a brain surgeon, puts two new mounts in, charges me double the retail price for the mounts and the hump at the front is causing vibration. $540 to change two motor mounts.

You need to learn how to work on your own bike, or pay up sucker as Jesse James use to say...

The price you paid is not out there, probably the going rate for two mounts....although you could have gotten a predator front mount and a stock rear for that price and installed then yourself....

I would do my own work if I had a garage and a lift.
