Haven't seen anyone talk about the Mustang Fastback, I had one for 2 seasons and did a 5000km trip with it. I actually just sold it and got a SDC seat instead (made by Saddlemen) and I gotta say the Fastback was an awesome seat. We were doing 800-1000km days and only after about 600kms my *** would start to become uncomfortable. I would recommend that seat to anyone especially for the price. Also made the bike feel narrower which I liked.

I have 4 seats sitting in my garage (none of them are what you're asking about, but some are similar), and I found for me in the 20k miles I've had this bike, the biggest criteria for new seat comfort was how it repositioned me from stock, how pronounced the edge of seat is where your thigh lays over it (edge being the edge of the top surface or seating area meets the side wall of the seat), foam density and cover material. On a weekend, I'll usually do 150-250 miles in a day, and when road tripping, anywhere from 250-700 miles days. I've learned, comfy is king for me as far as seats go.

If it helps, I'm 5'11" w/ a 34" inseam.

One of the seats I have is the Mustang Wide Touring w/ backrest and pillion. In general, this is the best compromise of the seats I have. Their foam is pretty good, firm without being hard and helps absorb road imperfections well. Nice rounded contour for the edge where my thigh lays and dimensionally decent for my body type (would prefer it to be 1" higher and 1" more rearward). I'm guessing there would be similar traits as to foam density and materials with the Mustang you're looking at. Overall, their quality is pretty dang good. If I could get one reshaped to my preferred dimensions, I'd buy another one and sell of the one I have that I bought used.

Also have a Corbin Classic Solo w/ backrest and pillion. I love Corbins because they are leather, they have THE best backrest shape I've experience, the seat locks to the bike and I find it aesthetically pleasing. I bought mine used, which I've read is not a good way to judge a Corbin since it molds to the *** of the original purchaser after 1,000 miles or so. All I know is the edge where my thigh lays over, is very pronounced and creates a super hot spot for me after a couple of hours in the saddle. Foam density is very hard (not necessarily a bad thing) and it transmits road imperfections and vibrations the most of any seat I've tried. I know you're not asking about this seat, but I mention it since "I think" it's similar to the LaPerra you mentioned. I could very well be wrong though.

Dunno what year you’re looking at, but I’ve got a Daytona 2-Up Sport for 96-03 Dynas for sale.

I love the seat and had the same one on a different Dyna as well, just going a different direction with the bike.

I'm just looking for opinions on the seats. Not trying to buy used. Thanks though 🤘

For sure, although mine is like new 😎

But go with Le Pera, they’re customer service slays. You can open the package, mount and ride the seat and still return/exchange as long as there’s no nicks/marks on the seat.

Having just bought a softail (low rider) i wish Lepera had a seat but supposedly in the making. I have a daytona and cherokee for 2 up both great seats and not overly priced.

I've got about 3-400 miles on my Daytona DDL now and it feels pretty good. After about 2 hours I'm only a lil sore. They tell me it'll break in and that will improve with time.

Overall I'm happy with the look and feel. Chasing comfort and appearance seems never ending. This is my 4th seat on the bike. Each one better than the one before.

Such is life.

Same here, rocking that seat and sold the HD tallboy seat. Want a Lucky Dave’s to try it or C&C and then I should have it figured out! You’d hope!

Did you ever decide? The Daytona 2up was #3 in my top 4, sat on one at the Lepera factory and really liked it but went with the Maverick instead.
