Default Starter relay

My 04 would not start right away yesterday after work. Pushed the button no crank. Pushed the button several more times and it eventually started up. I got home jumped the relay and it started to crank. Put my meter on the relay socket hit the button and got 12v. Bingo, bad relay. My question is, has anyone ever picked one of these up from say Napa or any other chain parts store? I drive by several parts stores on my way home but the nearest HD dealer is in the opposite direction.

HD part number is 31504-91A

Default My experience

I have used these types of relays for many years on my custom made FXR with an All ***** 1.4 starter motor. I chose a 30 amp one. They do not last long. I am looking for a better replacement relay with a higher amperage rating than this type. When this inconvenience happens I have to think my way out of it by either jump starting via pushing (most of the time no one is there to help push) or by finding a wire to go to + Battery to the spade on the starter motor for starter activation. My starter is grounded 3 ways through the motor, Braided Ground Strap 4 Gauge, battery cable to frame 4 Gauge (AWG) .and an additional ground to the frame directly to the starter motor mounting bolt 4 Gauge (AWG) . Relay is currently not working. All of these appear to be made in Asia and all fail after a while equally.. I am going to upgrade to a Remote starter switch direct mounted on the starter solenoid for peace of mind. HDF LINK

I only know my experience and I am not suggesting anything.
