Default screaming eagle Cam tensioner upgrade question

I have a 2004 Dyna Wide Glide with 34000 and I am thinking about doing the tensioner upgrade myself. I was going to purchase screaming eagle kit with the screaming eagle adjustable pushrod kit and I was wondering what else I am going to need special tools etc... I am also not sure how to properly install the bearings for the cams into the new screaming eagle plate. I was wanting to use my stock cams and I guess ill need new bearings also????

You will need new bearings for the camplate, and a way to press them in. Local shops dont charge much to press bearings. And while you're at it, you should replace the inner cam bearings as well. To do this properly you'll need a specialty tool like in the link below.

Harley Davidson Twin Cam Inner cam Bearing Installer+Puller/Remover Tools 99-06 Except 06 Dyna https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B7CBPKJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_5j8KBb2VB47WT

not trying to turn you away from the screamin eagle kit, but when I did this I went with the complete kit from Feuilng parts. Comes with bearings, loctite, assembly lube, all the seals and gaskets...its nice to have everything you need in one part number, instead of piecing everything together.

Here's the kit I used,

Buy the stock parts from an 07 and up and buy some Andrews conversion roller cams. A much better upgrade than the "kit" that re-uses the old cams.

Or, save a bunch of money and just replace the spring tensioner shoes with Cyco's.

It's not just wear it's the elastomers in the plastic. It gets brittle and crumbles, then quickly clogs oil flow. I would at least change the shoes.

Those can break apart tomorrow; I kid you not. There's a blue million things in this world I don't know, but this ain't one of them.

With that kind of mileage I would change them out. Here is a bike where the inner shoe came apart and the owner rode it until he heard "some noise".
