Default Switch back bag mounts

Hello,
I own a 2004 Dyna fxdl. I would like to install a set of hard bags and the kit I've found uses the harley switch back mount brackets, for the hard touring bags. (The bag kit, uses the same hole pattern as the harley touring bags)
My question to who's in the know is; will the mount brackets that Harley makes for the Switch Back mount on to my '04 Dyna without modification ? Or will I need to fab or modify my own?
much thanks.

Tony

Well it depends....1st off they were designed for the 06+ frame. They were also designed to use a longer rear fender. My guess would be that if the mounting holes line up to the holes on your frame brackets they would work but you would lose the lower mount point which is an important mount as it keeps the bags from swaying.

If you do a search, there are a couple of threads about this already.....this is a good one
