if you strip the frame I bet you can tell if it is bent if you put it on a table
if you are unsure if it is bent you might be able to find a old school shop that can put it on a frame jig to check it out
worst case scenario is an aftermarket frame, it would be titled as special construction and legally not a Harley but a lot of badass bikes start off this way.

Thanks man, I was thinking so but wasn't sure. still going to strip it and check it. If it is, then I might be building a bobber on a hardtail. We'll see.
If your frame survives that will save you a bunch of $$ and time, but I would have a good look at the fork tubes....they are 41mm and you can replace them with any 41mm tubes...the lower legs should be ok....
I think the oil pan is ok, they tend to stick out a bit.
i have a Switchback in my garage plus a Superglide that is turning that way, did a custom front end on it if you need help with measurements etc let me know

Thanks man. I'll know more when I get home from work tonight and get back at it. I called and talked to the Harley guy down by me and he said to check the frame tabs on the bike. Said they were always the first to go. He said 9/10 times he looks at frames and can tell if they are bad due to those tabs. The welds crack and tabs bend. He also said I could roll the frame on in and he would look at it for me for far less than an estimate would be.
I think it was made for some one who isn't as comfortable on the big cruisers???? I'm not a fan, I like my FLHTPi's but this bike was free, so I'm going to build it up!
The original 71 Super Glide( which the Dyna evolved from) was a touring bike frame with Sportster front end. Putting the big bike front end on a Dyna, to me is like trying to put the bike back to a Touring bike(FLH) so, its kinda silly, but yes, a bit "Smaller" frame wise these days.
Front fender for a Slim will fit, I had switched out the one on my daughters Switchback
Id like to put a slim front fender on my switchback but when reading online it says the mounting brackets for the slim fender have a distance of 7 from outside to outside. When I just measured my switchback the mounting brackets in the stock fender are 6 9/16. Do the slim brackets have to be bent a little bit?? Thanks

There was zero modification required in my install.
