Tassels may be a cultural or regional thing. I see a fair number of baggers with them. They seem to go hand in hand with conchos. Indian riders seem especially enamored.
I don't have either on my bike, and personally don't like the look of tassels. I'm not superstitious either.
But, if there was something I wanted on my bike, for whatever reason, I woudn't care what anybody else thought of it. It's my bike.
If you like them, or they make you more comfortable riding, then keep them. Or find something to replace them that makes you comfortable. It's your bike, enjoy it.
I think they looked kool on the early 60s bikes.
Some of The cars and bikes from the 50s and early 60s were pastels in color and the pink Harleys looked good pimped to the hilt .
Might as well put a rainbow sticker on the bike. That's my opinion though.
A rainbow without a unicorn?
Don't be ridiculous!
Geeze, people it's tassels. not a **** pic of two males doin it.
Next thing you know, it will mean something because you have a Arlen Ness "BIG SUCKER" air cleaner on the bike.
Calm down, relax. Not everything has a hidden meaning. Customizing is in the eyes of the beholder.
If you do receive another guardian bell, don't just tie up to the frame with that string they give you, do it with a small zip tie. You will never lose it....
Hey Caleb, welcome to the forum. The guys are just giving you a hard time. I did get a good laugh at the comments. It is your bike, and you do what you want to do to it. I have seen tassels on some bikes, and you would not call the owner gay on some of those bikes. It is an older style, but who is to say it won't come back. You live in Texas. Open carry a 44 magnum, and see who calls you gay. Peace.
