Found some of these on e-bay, how do they compare to each other? I'am looking for loud and deep And I will be running stock air filter and no remap. Any sound clips out there?
I'am a true believer that loud pipe save lives it has save me several time.. now I'am not talking about open pipes that make your ears bleed, I ve been around them at drag strips.
also a question even thou SE II's have been dicontinued ,some dealer still have them in stock, but will not put them on the new 07's Why!!!!
Thanks Eno50

Cycle shacks sound better IMO. I'm sure others opinions will vary, but the SEII's have a farty sound to me.
I just spent some $$$$$$$$$$ on pipes looking for that HD sound. Dealer installed 07 SE pipes $300. when I bought the new bike ($hitty sound, no better than stock) I installed Cycle Shack slip ons $140. ( 100% better than the 07 SE pipes especially @ idle but VERY loud and somewhat tinny sounding) I then bought some Rush slip ons $255. with 2" baffels, this is the sound that I was looking for( deep sounding very loud when they need to be i.e. "when you hammer down on it" ) and depending where you live they are neighbor friendly. I will see if I can do a sound clip with pics today and post it
Just my .02 cents worth/ just like Psycho says your going to get other opinions Good Luck D/C

what you probably got were the EPA compliant SE not SE IIs which are for off road use only. They have quit listing the SE IIS, and the only way you can find some is if a dealer happens to have a set left over or possibly on e-bay. The new SEs, like you mentioned, are not much louder than stock. SE IIs are a whole new ball game. thought i had read somewhere here on the forum that cycle shack was actually who made the SE IIs for HD.

Yea what he said...but you really should get a free flow air cleaner if you want better sound. Rush slip ons are really the way to go, they look and sound great.
