First Steps in Improving Performance
Money..., and a plan
Performance upgrades are not only motor centric - but could (and should) include handling / suspension/ braking
That said - motor upgrades are a slippery slope...
Do one - 5 more are required to make it reliable
Do one - 10 more are required because now... you want more
Don't get me wrong - I've upgraded the living **** out of my dyna - and love it
Just go into this with a plan..., and don't deviate - otherwise plan (and be prepared) to spend a considerable amount to get results worth a ****

i love threads like this. lets be real...your bike comes with a powerplant that will take you well beyond legal limits of any rode and provide you with a ton of miles and miles of smiles. that being said, the biggest place harleys lack is not engine performance at all. it is almost always suspension and motor mounts. go for comfort first and a suspension that suits you. the brake system from the factory already cant handle the power it has so why add MORE power from the get go that you cant even stop?
c&c custom seat
legend aexo front fork kit
legend revo a rears
brake upgrades (check out the blue bob bracket for the front and better pads for the rear)
intake, exhaust, and tuner should all go together. i personally like thundermax and it has been great for me but you should really look into the boys at fuel moto and go with a power vision. it has one major thing i wish my tmax had, a display.
everything after that is just lagniappe and not necessary. this entire thread will be full of peoples opinions. you have to decide this for yourself. your bike needs to be YOURS and the order of upgrades is really up to you

You REALLY WANT TO IMPROVE?
Forget throwing money at your bike for now. How about investing in YOURSELF?
Take an advanced class.
Take a curcuit class.
Take "Bike Bonding."
Take "Ultimate Bike Bonding."
Then, come back here and we'll figure out ways to drain your bank acct!

I have already taken the MSF advanced class & will do again in the spring.
Trying to find some other classes or even track days. Will not try to compete with the guys on sport bikes, just learn to ride better.
Do you have any suggestions on how to find some of the other classes that you mentioned? BTW, I am in western PA.
