I want to increase performance on my 2017 RGS but I don't want to add a bunch of mods at this time to do so, Can I add just a high flow AC and improve performance (HP & Torque) to do so? I figure it wont be much, but will it be noticeable?
Thanks,
Bob
Originally just fitted S E highflo filter and cit off the small inner baffle pipe on my SGS m8 early last year. Immediate and undeniable increase in response, power and sound.Rode it for 6 months before Stage 111 and Pro Race Tuner install.
Friend of mine tried to just put an A/C on his 2018 Road Glide...Bike didnt run worth a crap...your gonna need a tuner as well my friend...
Not true...... I've been running the S&S MK45 slipons and the S&S stealth air cleaner on my '17 for thousands of miles now without a tuner, stock headpipe....... the ECM and the o2 sensors are handling the change just fine..... runs noticeably smoother and cooler, plugs look great, and maybe.....just maybe, a little better feel in the "seat dyno".... I don't know about opening up the intake without doing the same to the exhaust though....THAT might not make for a happy M8........DW
without opening the exhaust up as well as the intake, I would have to agree......... and, with mine, the gains I can actually notice are at higher RPMs, which only makes sense, as that's where she really needs to suck it in and get rid of it quicker........hey....wait..... we're still talkin' bikes, right????..... ;-)DW
Interesting question! Seems too be numerous responses. My input concerning my 2017 Limited is as follows. I installed V & H twin slipons along a K&N air filter and no updates on computer. My experience is slightly better fuel mileage using a friend's stock bike to compare with, spark plug's appear too have a normal color. I am unable too determine any difference in low end torque. Riding at highway speeds, engine run's flawlessly at all RPM's.
