i was out riding with a buddy of mine yesterday... my first real ride after my 5k service and Stage I upgrades. my buddy has an 06 Heritage that he had Vance and Hines Longshots and DFO put on... we would ease off from a red light and hit second and take off.... full throttle. i was surprised that he could catch me.
i thought the difference between the weight of the bikes and riders... plus all i've read on the website my Stage I 05 SuperGlide should have walked the 06 Heritage.... which wasn't the case at all. and when he puts the air cleaner on, i'm going to get wasted.
my SuperGilde is by no means a slouch, i was impressed with the increase in performance after the Stage I... but quickly dissapointed after riding with my buddy.
The DFO can add a few HP along with the stage 1 and exhaust. All toll the intake and exhaust will add aprox 9-10 HP and the DFO will add another 5 or so. It does add up to a significant amount.
I put a DFO, stage 1 intake and removed the baffles from my '05 Wideglide, and I can keep up with my 95 CI Anniversary Fatboy driving buddy now...definatly adds some previously lacking sack...
I have a 05 FXDI with stage 1, V&H Big Shot Staggerds.. and I have yet to find a cruiser to outrun me... although I dont really "race" with anyone but my buddy on his Suzuki Boulevard c80 (850cc). I would still like more power untill I have saved up for the 95" upgrade.. whats this DFO that ya'll are speaking of? Thanks.

Must not have many of these in the neighborhood...[sm=drooldude.gif] though the FXDI would be up there as one of the fastest air-cooled big twins. [sm=burnout.gif]
