Default Fatbob Tire Shreader

Hey everyone. Some might remember a post earlier in the winter of a build I was doing on my 2011 FXDF Fatbob.
IT IS DONE!!

2011 FXDF FATBOB DYNA 96CI
Upgrade:
Screaming Eagle 103 stage IV Tire shredder package
SE Heavy Breather
SE 58mm TB
SE Hi-flow injectors
SE heads/jugs/ 3 7/8 pistons
SE high pro clutch spring
SE plugs, wires and auto compression release
Powercoated rocker covers to match wrinkle black on rest of engine
SE 259E Cams with direct fit pushrods.

Dyno (images wont load)
Stock: 63.6HP and 89.3TRQ
Upgrade: 99.6HP and 109.8TRQ

Only reason why my tuner couldnit break the 100HP mark was due to the exhaust. Ran out of money going over budget, but if I went FROM V&H Big Radius 2-2 TO V&H Competition Short 2-1, he figured I could of gotten another 8-10HP/TRQ.

But for these numbers, on this bike, I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome. As it is, I'll need tires cuz the stock's might not have enough grip. The sure don't have grip in the parkaid at home, lol. But concrete is slipping anyway. And if I really want more, I can save my pennies and get the different exhaust. If the website decides to work and lets me upload the pics and dyno sheet, I'll update post.

Sounds like its going to be a fun bike. What tuner are you using ? The big radius is definitely holding you back.

i have the Screaming Eagle super tuner. The old orange one HD discontinued. Does same thing as power vision. lol.
Ya, considering the exhaust. Might pull old one off yet and see if I can sell and use the money towards the new one.
Plus I need to sell the stock parts if I can. (20k kms)
And the SE heavy breather for stock 96ci (8k kms) (was too small for the new TB)
Plus the SE 204 Cams (4k kms)
Plus the SE adjustable pushrods (4k kms)

lol. So there is potential to get the money, problem is no one buying parts where I live in Canada, nor in the province of Alberta. lol.

Instead of saving money for a new exhaust, I would put that money into things that might break, like your comp, clutch basket, clutch discs maybe even a trans upgrade....lots of people do the motor but forget what actually puts that power to the ground.

My factory 103 with cams & head work is at 102 hp 112 Torks. This is with python throwbacks 2 into 2. I know I could also benefit from a good 2 into 1. Problem is I like the 2 into 2 looks and sound. This set up with the Andrews 30 tooth power pulley , Baker compensator, and s.e vpc is a lot of fun! What I am saying is if you want to stay with 2 into 2 exhaust but want more grunt you could do the the Andrews power pulley. 6 speeds are geared to high for me!

That tuner will work, especially if whoever is tuning it know knows how to get the most out of it. I see a fair amount of pipes on the dyno and if you want all you can get out of that set up take a strong look at the D&D fat cat. If that pipe doesn't have "the look" and you want the shorter pipe they all generally have the torque dip on the bottom end. They tend to do well on the top end and even the upper midrange. Depends on where you spend most of your time riding.
Lots to consider in upgrades but don't overlook a good set of shocks now that you will be riding more.
Enjoy your bike ! Get us some pics.

I will say this, if I ever do go with a 2 into 1 it would be the d&d fat cat with an hpi 50 mm throttle body or have my 46 modified. I think I would be looking at a grand for the pipe, 600 for the throttle body and redyno fee. Probably inevitable lol.

Yea I like the pipes, they look good, sound good (after they repaired the baffle), and they are not to ear splitting cruising down the highway. Which brings me to another issue, this is my only bike, and I do alot of highway. I live in small community of Fort McMurray, Alberta, its 4hrs away from nearest city. lol. 2-1 short pipes don't think be too practical for long highway cruises/trips, lol.

My dealer did a good job on the build. They kept in touch on everything they found wrong, both o2 sensors, stator/ voltage regulator, FP3 tune (which was completely out to lunch). Plus everything is warrantied. lol.

They warrantied the stator and volt regulator. Powder coated the rocker covers and tappet covers, and fine tuned it really well.
I'm not planning on racing the bike, I just wanted some more passing power. With this build, weight of the bike, and myself, my tuner was confident it'll be keeping up with the 117ci's no problem. (most bikers where I am all ride heavy touring bikes, and well, no other way to put it, they a bit heavy on the body as well) lol.

Shocks i'm looking into, a decent set of progressives and some tires better than these stock ones, think she be good.

I went with progressive 440 12.5 ( 1/2 inch taller than stock) with the cartridge set up for the front . I like them just fine. Avon cobra chrome tires on the way . It’s gonna be a long winter! Good luck with your mods! You are gonna love the new power!7

Long as those 117's don't have a pipe and cam I'm sure you will be happy with your build and that's all that matters anyway.
