I troubleshooted my 2012 Fatbob & has only 9 to 11 AC volts from the stator at 2000 rpms & also has 0 ohms resistance on stator sockets. So I'm going to purchase a stator. I don't know if I should go back to a Harley brand stator for $240. or go with a Cycle Electric stator at $125.. Since I already had a bad voltage regulator 2 years ago & I replaced it. Did not know if harley had a batch of bad stators also. I'm kind of leery about the Harley branded electrical parts. Has anybody experience any different branded stators & what brands?

do you mean 0 ohms or infinite (no continuity) ohms? you should have a small amount of resistance across the winding's, the factory manual does not give any specs.
I used both the Cycle Electric Stator and Voltage regulator on my 08 Fat Bob. Very high quality. Heres a pic of the old crispy stator.
some come like this from the factory. Mine looked like this with 10k when I switched to mids. Ive never had charging issues still running the same battery for 5 1/2 years
Still ambiguous. To an electrical wizard that means a reading of zero, or good continuity, without any resistance to the flow of electricity. To others it means no connectivity (technically, infinite resistance) and no reading on the meter. A cheap meter will read zero on a good stator. No reading, or something like "1-" means infinity, or a broken conductor (bad stator).
Yeah, pretty sure you should have at least 36 vac@2000rpm. And as said cycle electric (which is all I use) it OEM... I have tried aftermarket crap and ended up replacing in no time cause the best I could get was 13.6vdc@2000 RPM..... My current Cycle Electric is@14.1vdc@1200rpm.....
from what you say I am guessing you have open winding's (no continuity or open winding's). not sure if you are using an analog or digital meter but on a good stator you should get a reading across the winding's, an analog meter the needle will not move if are open and a digital will not change any when testing.
