Default Front End Reborn

This is the year I've decided to finish off the front end of my bike. I'm on a 2015 FXDB that I have owned since new. Currently the front end of my bike is mostly stock. Forks are 100% stock. I've upgraded the brakes a few years ago with speed merchant radial mounts, a caliper off a R6 and a Brembo 15 RCS master cylinder. I've been planning this since I've had my bike but have not had the funds until now. Most parts have now been ordered.

On tap
GP Suspension cartridges.
Dual Brake tech rotors.
Brembo 19RCS master cylinder.
Second caliper and mount.
Brake lines.
New brake pads.
Some Ti bolts to finish it off.

Some parts have already started to arrive. There is be plenty of photos to follow of the parts and rebuild.

As it sits.

Hell yea🤗 you were the reason I purchased an rcs19. Luckily my bike was non canbus so the brembo brake switch worked!

Some stuff has started to arrive. I'm still debating if I want to change the calipers out. Would be for purely aesthetic reasons but after it's a Harley.

Right side with the left side rotor to show the setup.

What was the lead time on the rotors? I'm planning on ordering a pair of Axis rotors as well, from Braketech/Howard. I'm just debating 320 vs. 330mm now. I'm currently running radial calipers on SM mounts (like you) with HD 11.5 floaters. I've contacted SM about using a 320, and they felt I could keep my current brackets and shim for the larger rotor. Is this what you're planning on doing? They make brackets for 13" rotors, so that's what I would do if I decide on 330s (which is what I'm leaning towards).

Turn around was days. Brake tech had what I wanted in stock. They are very responsive even sending emails on Sundays which surprised me. I ordered them from Brake tech on Saturday and they were at my door Thursday. I went with 320mm rotors. They are already larger then the rotors that are on the bike. I didn't feel the extra money spent for 330mm rotors was money well spent. I'm already more then doubling my braking surface so I'll use the left over money for other things. I did consider the carbon discs for a moment. Never did ask the price. Steel is the way to go for a street bike that wont see much really hard braking.

I had a little extra time today so I did a quick mock up. I'm waiting for the fork internals to come in and the new master so it's a dual disc with one caliper right now.
