When I had my dyna I ran 30t/70t and that was the best mod I’ve done to it! The Thundermax tuner I had allowed for complete speedo adjustment.

I haven't done much freeway riding, but being new to it would not say I won't. that said i generally drive like and old man so 75 would probably be my cruising speed.

Then... I wouldn't be converting to a chain either. If this is your commuter ride... leave the belt on. Work some magic with paint and bolt on's if you want asthetics... drop to a 30t in front.. and you'd be golden.

I am a fair weather rider by intention and don't mind the maintenance... plus I can always switch back. The look is a bit retro and like the chain for that mostly. It is a 2012 switchback with laced rims a 21" wide front and most all of the chrome powder coated black. So am looking to go with a PC black sprocket and gold chain.

I really figured if I am doing the change why go with stock if there is a better ratio. (knowing that the MOCO likely has different regulatory reasons and reliability reasons for picking the ratio that comes stock.)

Steel sprockets. Only people that use aluminum is to drop weight but at our weight class, dropping weight from an overweight platform isnt going to do anything.

If you are a modest rider, then I would just suggest going to stock setup. The stock setup is quite balanced for the average rider.

Andrews 30 tooth power pulley with Dakota digital speed recalibrater. I also think the 6 speeds are geared to high. Great on back roads and highways.
