Firstly I'm new so if this is being posted in the wrong area I apologize... I just purchased the smooth passenger pillion from HD part number 5135-06A which stated it would fit my scoot. The issue I am running into and need help understanding is the instruction say to bolt the pillion to the solo saddle. My saddle's hardware isn't bolted to the pan but rather has two push tabs that need to be depressed to remove the hardware? btw the solo saddle part number is 51475-09A which is an OEM saddle for the FXDB. I'm assuming they're just not compatible even though the HD site indicated otherwise? I just need to know if I'm missing something super simple (probable) or what solo saddle I would need to pick up to run with this pillion? Thanks in advance
Maybe try taking off the original mounting point (metal clip used to attract seat) and try connecting them with it or attact it to rear of passenger pylon and use second predrilled hole as the mounting point. NOT the first hole that a solo seat would mount to. On my 07 fxdl my stock seat is "attached" but fit isnt snug like a saddlemen will be. Just my $.02 lmk if it works.

I ordered the other seat off that Ebay link I posted earlier... pretty sure the saddle I have currently is not the original even though it is a HD oem seat? This new one actually has holes that I can secure the pillion to... Thanks for the advice though, much appreciated! The trials and tribulations of buying a used scoot.
