Got this bike recently but no owner manual yet . Wondering how much tranny oil it holds ? and should it be checked up right like my other bikes calls for , and should the dip stick cap be screwed down to the O ring ? or just sitting on the first thread when checking the fluid level ? Thanks folks !
the five speeds hold about 24-26 oz's ...we tend to run around 22 (but we run the Lucus hd oil stabilizer..mixed 1/2&1/2 with the gear oil )...
as we found that too much will migrate up and over flow out the "J" hose(under hard acceleration) on the top of the trans, running down between the inner primary and looking like a seal leak ...
ckeck it with the bike straight up and resting on the threads ....
good luck ...
