Default wind buffeting after adding fairing

Afternoon all,

So I just put on the MS Road Warrior fairing which helps cut out a lot of wind, but now I am getting bad buffeting at around 75+. It's coming from around the tank and can feel it all the way up to my chin. I checked Memphis Shade's website and they don't have any lowers listed for my 05 Wide Glide. Does anyone happen to have any suggestions on how I can cut down on the wind coming around the tank and under my helmet?

Maybe try the vented windshield they have? Might cut down on the amount of wind that's deflected around the tank

If you can adjust it, a small change in the angle of the windscreen can sometimes make a big difference.

Fork mounted wind deflectors did the trick for me with this exact same problem.

They don't look awesome I'll admit but they work as advertised.

It's worth taking some time to adjust the fairing. I've had mine on a few weeks and i'm still tweaking it. Weather hasn't been great here, so not many long rides to get it dialed in properly. I did manage to get in a 300 mile ride yesterday in very strong winds and the fairing has made a huge difference, it's taken all the wind pressure off my chest and helmet making longer trips a lot more plesant, and i get a lot less wind noise. I'm still getting some buffeting on the top of my helmet over 90mph but i'm pretty sure i can dial that out with a little more tweaking. I do get some air flow coming up around the tank, but it's not buffeting and it will be very welcome when temperatures begin to climb.

I have a Street Glide. When I changed the windshield the wind started coming off the tank just like you described.

I went with Jes Custom Accents. Doesn't look like they make them for Dynas though.

I have terrible buffeting in the helmet on my 2017 fxdb with a 15-inch shield on my road warrior. What did you do to cut most of the buffeting?
