Default Whining noise when power comes on

Wide Glide 2015

Getting a whining noise when putting some power on, from the primary side

So, cruising no power applied (clutch engaged and disengaged) no noise

Pulling away or accelerating, a 'whining' noise that increases pitch and level with speed, until the noise from the exhaust i presume overcomes the 'whine'

Originally thought it was the the clutch, but its just been replaced with new Energy One performance clutch pack and a new inner primary bearing fitted. If anything the noise is now more pronounced.

For info, Just had a dyno, with really good results,

Any ideas?

Thanks R

I had a whine from my auto chain tensioner ratcheting up too tight. But it was more noticeable at idle.

I run baker compensator & attitude adjuster with se v.p.c, I still have a little whine but not as bad as with the stock auto tensioner. The little whine I do have again is at idle. I would check your chain tensioner.

Energy One makes good clutches. I have one in my Sporty and it hooks up nice.

My FXDL has a whine from what I think is the belt, especially when it's been highway running. I checked my belt, but it's all in spec. I read that dirt can cause it to whine, some say to sprinkle baby powder on the belt to quieten it down... not sure about that, but at least it would smell nice. I'm now going to check my tensioner.
