Yeah, PV has their read-outs a bit confusing. CHT is really a calculated number (which could be why you saw what you did), whereas the Engine Temp is a direct read of the sensor from the rear of the front cylinder.

btw, 240/250 is too hot...performance is compromised at below those temps and accelerated engine wear is occurring. 230 is the max I let mine get. Also, this is from the front cylinder, the rear is going to be hotter.
