Another vote for The Horse. I have been reading that rag since it was Iron Horse...its changed over the years went from nearly nude to no chicks back to pinups. Nothing you can't explain to a 10 year old but thats just my opinion.
Love The Horse, http://www.thehorsemag.com/ ,been reading ot for quite a few years now - found my SPS bobber through it. Great rag for pictures of bobbers, ideas for customizing mine and places to buy different stuff. American Iron is the only other motorcycle mag I read monthly - think it has, in general, great articles. I pick up other mags occassionally when I seesomething on the cover that catches my eye but only read the two above on a regular monthly basis.
The Horse. Yes, there are scantilly clad women laying all over the bikes, but I read it for the articles!! Real bikes, real people, highly opionated articles that I tend to agree with fully.
are american iron and the horse full of the girly crap? as much as i can deal with that stuff, i've got a 10 year old around the house that's nosey and likes to look at things he shouldn't. not ready to explain that stuff to him yet.
American Iron is clean, The Horse has pinup type girls but nothing a 10 year old won't see on the street or mall.
Overall, the biker mags are fluff, and not really worth the reading.I cant stand reading about billy-bobs bobber with hand sewn seat and 30 pics to go along with his hack job creation.Put some tech type stuff(engine mods, brake changes, metalworking articals in it, and maybe I would come back.
been reading American Iron Magazine since 2000, has some good general articles, how to articles, some ride articles and interesting columns. Had Iron works for a while, they started beto radical for my style. Also have American Rider, good mag. Question for Buzz, plans for big ride for the 105th similar to the 100th?
