Default Replacing rear drive belt.

I'm going to replace the rear Drive belt on my 2010 Dyna Superglide I think the T socket is a T70? I'm going to search for one around town and a 1 and 3/16 socket I should have one in the garage somewhere lol. While I have it apart I going to put a Barnett heavy duty clutch spring in. My clutch slips under heavy load sometimes not all the time but wondering if a clutch spring will make a difference?

You do realize you're going to need more than a T socket ?

Do you have the tool for the front pulley nut?

You should replace the pulley, pulley spacer, and all seals on the inner primary cover and transmission left side while the inner primary cover and pulley are removed.

Also inspect the shift lever and shift shaft splines.

Also.... .. inspect your clutch hub splines... they will be fractured. Probably a good 3/8" to 1/2" of them on the tranny side. Courtesy of the stock auto-ratcheting primary tensioner. I would add a new clutch hub and Baker attitude adjuster into the mix. .. of course, depending on budget.

Your standard run of the mill socket is not going to work on that pully nut.

You don't need to remove the front pulley to put on a new belt.

You’ll want the most bad *** 1/2” impact you can find to get that nut off.

Edit: Didn’t read through the thread, I just assumed you would replace the pulley.
