This is a picture of the cover on the opposite side as the battery.. Take a look at the two bolts on the right. The bolt on top spins easily, the bolt on the bottom turns but is pretty snug.. Neither bolt will come
out so that I can remove the cover.
Is there a trick to getting them out? Or are they maybe stripped?
Maybe the later bikes are different, but on my 2000 Dyna (which has four bolts on that cover), that cover doesn't bolt to anything. Those "bolts" are simply holding the press-in studs on the other side, which locate the cover in four rubber grommet holes. To remove the cover, you just grab it and yank it off. At least in 2000...
