I like the new Fat Bob. Glad to see they resurrected this old model name. I'd change the exhaust right away, but I'd do that with any of 'em. This could make a great second bike for me, hmmmmmmmmm...

Looks like a Triumph Speed Triple had a three way with a Honda Magna and Honda Shadow. That Triumph is a dirty *****! A dirty little *****...who the father really is, no one will ever no. You see it every day.

I like it except for the pipes, headlights and tires. It's on my list fighting against the Night Train as my next purchace, leaning toward the Night Train at the moment.

What's with the new shape of the air cleaner cover?

It's OK. If you like the street bob, you'll probably like this. I'd pass.

My summary of changes:

Fat Bob - Love it. Besides the fact that it is a rip-off of Exile Cycles' esthetic; hell, I look at it as an Exile bike for a third the price. The look is awesome with some pretty nice performance advantages: Dual front discs (Better stopping), fatter front tire w/not so much rake (Better handling), a two-into-one-into-two exhaust (Presumably better performance.) I also think that the "new" bobtail fender has found its rightful home. It made the wideglide alittle too leggy. On the F-Bob, it looks right. The dual headlights look cool; not traditional, but cool in a streetfighter way, which I dig.BTW, I am changing my order from a softail custom to a new F-Bob, in Denim Black

Wide Glide - So it IS back, after all. I am sure alot of folks think they are justified on this. Problem is that you have to swallow the extra grand for that almost-hideous paintjob and lame 105th Anni tank badge. Not worth it.

Rocker - Bad first impression. I think it will look pretty cool in the flesh, but I don't think it is a very well thought out design. Lots of neat features, however.

John

The Fat Bob is absolutely gorgeous! As soon as I saw it, I knew it was the bike for me. I'll change the pipes and the air cleaner, but little else.

IronHorse66, I think you made a good decesion changing. The Fat Bob is an awsum bike, I bet you don't regret it one bit. I envy you. I'd love to have one for a 2nd bike.
The more money yer paying for a wide glide is for more chrome Etc. Chrome adds up real fast. My buddy that got a street bob and is trying to put as much chrome on his bob as my Wg is stating man I see how much chrome cost now.
Wish you luck with the Fat Bob. When you git it send us some pictures.
Oh Yea ! I had a Street Bob for 5000 miles in the Black Denium, Think you will like that color also. it really shows Chrome off and it easy to clean.

I'm interested in getting the Fat Bob for my first Harley. I rode mostly sport bikes and sport tourers, so this bike with its brakes and better handling will be right up my alley. I'll take mine with mid mount controls and basic black.
