Ya i love your 07 Street Bob too. But it hurts to look at that Rocker. Not feelin it here, thats for sure. Havnt looked at accessories yet, is there a 2up seat? Where would it go?
I think the seat actually looks comfy. That is kind've the same style you get on mountain bikes. It might look bad but it's not. However - ummm...yeah, what if you have a 300+ person on the seat? Our friend who at one point was a professional mountain biker has actually cracked that style seat in the frame and he's not even that heavy. I'm assuming a $20k motorcycle would be different than a $2500k bicycle.
I thought the Deuce wasa beautiful bike and hate to see it go and the rocker has two fatal flaws in my book. First, on that style of bike you have to curve the bottom of the tank to follow the contour of the heads to give the whole bike "flow". As is, the bike looks like the front and back are from two different bikes. Second, by attaching the rear fender ro the swingarm, there is no way to have two-up seating that doesn't look goofy. the diving board seat ain't cuttin' it. Different tank and can the passenger and ya got something.
After riding a ricerocket for the last dozen years I like the seating position and the handling is much better than I thought it would be. In ten minutes I can set it up for my wife and off we go. (She actually likes riding the SG)
Can't waite to do the V&H 2 into 1 etc next spring.
I have seen a Rocker at a Motorcycle show. The rear wheel size issomething else though. I think it will sell well you can customize it and make it your own, like our Dyna's.The Fat Bob to me was the best of the new models for 2008. Oh by the way I do love my Low Rider though.
I think it's going to be one of those love it or hate it and there's no in between bikes. If there are enough accessories made and you aren't a frequent 2-up rider, there is some potential there. It's definitely different. Just not for me IMO.
