Default Check engine help!

I have an 06 superglide bike was completely stock just got about a month ago. Obviously wanted to have that Harley sound but didn’t want to break the bank. I purchased the Vance and Hines twin slash slip ons. I was reading up that most cases you don’t have to have the bike tuned. I installed the mufflers and rode it moderately around town and bike seemed fine no issues sound was good and then we went on a longer bit of ride and when I was in 3 rd and 4th gear when I got on the throttle it would show a check engine light and then once letting off the light would go away. I checked the code and I was getting p13506 when looked up it’s a misfire. I spoke to a few guys that work on Harley’s and they gave me options to trouble shoot the problem obviously check my plugs. And to reset the code and put the original mufflers back on and trace my steps backwards after doing all that and I changed plugs and took it for a spin no longer then getting up the road in 2nd gear I got on the throttle and light popped back up and then would go away. Has anyone had this issue will the Vance and Hines fuel pak fix my issue ? Any help would be great. First bike and looking forward to getting to ride it this season

You said 2006. That's the oddball. 07 and newer have 4 wires to the ignition coil, power, front, rear and ion sensing. If you are not running HD spark plugs you WILL throw error codes of misfire. No big deal. As for the V&H Fuel Pac, it will get it to run better but will not do anything to prevent the Check Engine light from coming on.

I am running the Harley spark plugs I figured I wasn’t going to mess with not putting original parts in and the plugs that were in there were Harley Davidson aswell

What air intake do you have? Stock or a high flow? Misfires are usually plugs or the bike is running too lean while at cruising throttle which can happen with new exhaust, but only if the intake has been upgraded as well. Misfires can happen if someone put in a tune or module that advanced the timing too much as well. Is there currently a tuner or piggy back system on it?

The bike is running a stock stock air filter on it I was going to put a high flow air filter on it after buying the tunner. As far as I know this bike is bone stock no tunner or piggy back system.
