I use about 60° of rotation, under the derby. I also have a Burly EZboy device that requires more precise clutch adjustment. Clutch is perfect. Light, easy to modulate, locks up just as tight as stock. A 7 year old can work it, easily.
And, the friction zone is a M I L E wide!
I have a 2005 Dyna L/R and a 2002 Superglide, the primary takes 26 ozs. not the 32 in a quart. Understandably you have a 2006 but I don't think the primary changed in a year, I know the trans. did but that has it's own oil/fluid quantity.
By the way the quantity of oil in my primary is in the HD service manual under primary oil change.

not unusual for things to be different from one year to the next … in this case the 2005 has a 5 speed gear box … 2006 is the first year for the 6 speed … so the change in the amount of primary oil …

According to my service manual my 2007 dyna takes 32 oz. I wonder what a FSM would say for a 2006?
Sounds like you are messing up the adjustment at the clutch basket. If it is not completed seated the right way (ball and ramp, and clutch pushrod) it will not be right.
I tried the 1/4 turn free play at the derby and it seem to fix many problems. No more slipping at a complete stop. It is still tough to get in to neutral at a complete stop but if I am moving at least a couple miles an hour it hits neutral easy. The point of release of the clutch is much better not exactly where I want but then again I am used to riding a Sportster so I shouldn't complain the lever is so easy to move compared to my Sporty.
I want to thank everyone on here for so many good responses. It's my first question on this forum but I have been on the Sportster forum for years. Thanks again everyone.

The issue finding neutral can also be caused by incorrect primary chain adjustment...
My clutches are correct and finding neutral on my Superglide is a bitch, on my Switchback ... super easy....one thing to try is blipping the throttle just before moving the gear shift....kind of spins the primary...might help, might not...rocking the bike back and forth helps as well
