Default Riser Extensions

Hey I was wondering if I could get away with adding 2” riser extensions with a stock bar set up and not have to change any cables. I have a ‘11 fxdc with the buckhorn bars. I know there is some variability there but was wondering if anyone has done this with an all stock setup. Thanks

I have not done this but there should be enough slack that you shouldn't have any problems …

I own a 2013 FXDC and added a riser with no problem. It raised the bars up and back a bit. Made a world of difference.

Fair amount of slack in all of the cables and wiring, I would assume 2" would work out with limited drama. Good luck.

2" should be fine

I think its when you start adding 3" plus you have to worry

No idea what you are riding... You will have no issues going up two inches. There's enough slack.

I loved it

Thank you for the info guys. I will be buying some from DK soon then. It will be an easier way to get some height without messing with much.

If he buys from DK, longer bolts come with the extensions.I bought 2" extensions to go with my 5 inch risers. And the longer bolts came with the extensions. On a side note; if you have stock risers you need the fat riser extensions. As the others work with 1" risers.
