2001 switchblade tensioners

2001 switchblade tensioners
Ive recently purchased a 2001 switchblade wide glide. It has roughly 27,000 miles. I know that the cam chain tensioners need to be checked and probably replaced. My HD dealership quoted me around 1200$ to replace with original tensioners not the hydraulic system. I know this subject has been discussed a lot, just wanted some fresh answers. Is it worth extra money for hydraulic or go all the way with gear drive? Not sure this matters, but the 88 was changed to a 95 or so I was told.

Depending on how many miles you ride, the stock might be ok, but I would do the cyco ones which are better then stock....but same set up. If you plan on doing a lot of miles, spring for the hydraulic ones....

Wasnt the switchblade a CVO model? So you should have a factory installed 95” kit and some flavor of SE cams right?
