Default Check engine light

I traded my bike in this past weekend after putting it completely back to stock. Intake and exhaust put back to stock. I did leave the FP3 on the bike but put it back to factory map before I turned the bike in.

The dealer is telling me the bike has a check engine light and wants to know why. Without having to take a trip back up to the dealer, any ideas why it would throw that light if its all back to stock?

Let me completely understand the question. A motorcycle dealer has no idea why a bike has a check engine light on?

Tell him to hold the trip button and turn the ignition on, "make sure the kill switch is on" and then read the code.

Although this made me laugh out loud at my desk, I have to give them a pass in that they are not a Harley dealership so they might not have access to reading the codes.

Ok, they tried this. Said it was either "IAG" or "1AG".

You don't have to be a dealer to look up the codes. Besides being in the owner's manual, this is available to anyone: Harley Trouble Codes

Anyway, what did you trade the HD in for?

Nice machine. Have had the chance to ride a few BMW Boxers, will probably be my next bike.
