Default Numbing grip

Anyone having the same experience with a numbing buzz from theright grip. 6th gear about 65 mph. Really was bad. Just bought this '07 FXD, up from a '06 Sportster 1200 Low. Which I only had for a year. I had traded my '04 FLHT in for something sportyer. Man, I hated that Sporty. Just to physically small, for me,that is. So, bought a '07 Dyna. Had an '03 Wideglide ( Loved it. Rode it, with the old lady on the back, to the 100th, 4200 mile trip). So far I like this one, except for the numbing buzz I'm getting. Like I said only in the right grip.Any resolves from anyone?

I had the same feeling on a 2 hour highway ride, my opinon is it's just because of the bend you are putting in your wrist and holding it for so long. what worked for me was to just try to keep my hand placed over the throttle, rather then having it bent on the back end of the throttle.

I've never used one, but they also have those plastic palm rests you can place on the grip to hold down the throttle, rather then to use your whole hand, let me find the link.

Yea, thought about the bend in the bar's and the wrist, as you said. I do have 12" ape's that I will be going with and the grip area for those are more of 90 deg. out from the bike not like the dropdown pull back factory bars. Maybe, I'll just live with it until the change.
Thankx

Hello lo1200hd

Check out a set of Kuryakyn Iso Grips with the throttle boss attachment. They work well but if you have small hands you might find them a bit much to grip. Try this link, it should take you right to the site and correct page. I have them on a set of mini apes and like them pretty well.

Good luck with it.

I have the same problem, so what I do is hold the grip with two fingers and straighten the other fingers and do the same with the other fingers. It works for me.

Thankx, I've had an '03 FXDWG and '04 FHTL both rubber mounts. Never had this prob. before. think I might try my 12" ape's and then maybe the ISO grip's.
Thankx
