I have owned 6 bikes: 1 yamaha, 3 hondas (the dealer was convenient), 1 triumph 650 cc (great bike), 1 harley (Wide Glide)
My favorite: (The Wide Glide).....
The only bike of all 6 that I actually put a lot of thought into it. All other 5 bikes....I spent about 15 minutes...deciding what to buy...the harley...I sent 18 months....deciding....test riding.....researching.....asking...thinking....DR EAMING....etc...the most important part was test riding. I was amazed at how many harleys...I hated !!!!!! The wide glide fit me perfect. I would buy it again.....
Next time any one buys a bike.... spend a lot of time on deciding.

Gratz on new bike, let the wallet draining begin! Upgrade seat, SE air intake, pipes(rineharts are sweet), stage 1 remap, 1k gone, shield, sissy bar, pad, rack,engine guard, tank lift,2K gone, progressive rear shocks(440's) & upgrade front springs too and heavier SE oil, SE fork brace, 3K gone, take a breath and ride 1k miles, do IK service, put heavier amsoil severe gear oil in tranny, amsoil 20/50 in engine and primary, K&N oil filter, get better fuel management(SERT, Thundermax,etc) Dyno, 4k gone, iso grips stirrups, more chrome! bags tour pak, 5 K gone. You get the idea, it never ends lol. Peace.

Have to agree.The seat will be the first to go.Theb you will want to look at changing out the handlebars, for a better feel and look.Then of course the pipes, etc, etc.

Welcome to the brotherhood. I have changed out ALOT of stuff on my 06 Lowrider, I like "mywideglide" above have owned all kinds of bikes. One Yamaha metric cruiser a Suzuki Gxer (man was that a painful mother) dirtbikes galore and 3 Harleys. All Dynas a 97 SuperGlide an 00 Lowrider and presently an 06 Lowrider.
I have an HD windshield I like it fine it also cuts down on the wind noise tremendously as well as prevents you from eating and wearing all kinds of nasty crap. I know alot of the others guys here dont care for 'em (windshields) but its a mattter of personal choice like I said they have saved me from getting smacked by some pretty large pieces of debris. ALL Harleys vibrate thats part of it. Like Sinner said "Make it yours" and Madden is right on with what I call the "Monetary HD Curve" Its almost Vertical and it never ends!
I have yet to replace my stock seat and man doI ever need to, my Lowriders seat is like a medievil torture device after about an hour or so in the saddle.
