Need help identifying the inner shift shaft part # on OEM FXDP or the Wyatt Gatling floorboards. Mine is stripped and I cant find a comparable...I emailed Wyatt Gatling to see if I could get a replacement piece and never got a reply.
Ive circled the piece below. Ive found some drag specialties forward control inner shift shaft that might work, but the arm piece curves the opposite direction (see second photo).
Good morning. Here is what I have in my H-D SIP Portal page. If you haven't already I have attached the link to the Harley Davidson service information portal for dealers and independent operators. You can register for free and input your van and get a variety of information without paying for a subscription. At some point in the future I will be paying for the subscription
however I will have to soften up the back with a foot rub.
These are the part numbers that you're looking for for the shift lever for the Dyna Defender or Police model that you have.
The Drag Spec piece is definitely wrong. Remember, the FXD's were basically the same from 1996-2005 and so all used the same parts. There was a mild model refresh in 1999 that was mostly mechanical, therefore the parts still apply across the model line. The exception is the model wide glide designated FXDWG. The FXDWG, due to its design, was only able to share some body and frame components with the Dina Lowrider the remaining drivetrain components were XL/FXD specific. I failed to see in your post what model year your FXDP was. I can only assume it is a '96-'05 FXD, not a later model tribute build.
Thank you for the replies, and heres my concern on the cross-referenced FXD vs FXDP parts. When I put part # 34621-90 into google image, these pieces came up which is the wrong part I posted as the second photo in my original post. I think thats a normal inner shift shaft from mid controls?
