Default clunking sound

i was out riding today,ccusing along at 45 mph and when i punched it i heard a clunking sound.backed off and tryed again,another clunk. it happened every time i kicked it . is this normal? just had 5000 service so everything should have been checked but we all know how that goes. opinoims please

Hmmmm..........you pay for service and pay very well, if its not right ..........YELL!!! The bad thing about this time of year and service it pretty much sucks,,,, Sorry, the only clunk I have is with the shifting.

I get a clunk sound, too.I also get it if I'm at a slow roll,in traffic, waiting to get to the stop sign, and I let the clutch out to roll forward. I'm 99% sure it's the primary chain, and most likely normal.

yeah, I was noting a sound...as was theoldguy a few ago....seems when I pull the engine hard I hear it...almost like a steel string tightening...I don't like it..but if it's normal I'll deal...heh
