Hey all. I trust you are all well and riding, not able to read this post so I anticipate a couple month delay in responses 
( Being summer and all ). Anyways, at my dealer they offer a 2.5k service. In my manual there is no 2.5k scheduled. It's only 1k, 5k, 10k, 15k, etc. etc. What gives with that? My plan was to let the dealer do my service until 10k then I was going to do it from that point on. I dont know, just thought I would let them get the first few in before I stepped in. What do you guys make of a 2.5k service schedule? Not necessary?

I've never heard of a 2.5k service either, but , I don't use the dealer much unless it's internal stuff. Sounds like your dealer has justcreated another way to try and get in your pocket. That said, I think you need to get their explanation....and I am courious to know what that might turn out tobe.

Many people change their oil before the 5K, I changed mine at 50, 1K and every 3K after that. You can do an oil change at 3 K if you want I wouldn't bother to bring into dealer, if you do your own servicing make sure to keep receipts so you can prove it was done. Peace.
