My bike is an 06 Super Glide. The other day I pulled the plugs for the first time and they are white as a ghost. It is running very lean. I have been toying with the idea of doing the Stage 1 but am still undecided on louder pipes. So my question is, does anyone know what would happened if I put on a SE air cleaner and had the download but left the stock pipes on?
If you are not going to add pipes then I would not change the air cleaner. I would get a download to richen it up. HD sets them up way lean to meet the EPA standards.
F the D/L By a TFO or P/C or a sert if you wanna be cheap. Or you can get you a thundermax for a little bit more, but seriously dont waist your dough on that stupid download
I went with the K&N filter in the factory backing plate and HD performance slip-ons - just a little more sound but 50 state EPA legal (HELLO -CA and CO...). When they did the 25 degree injectors - they did the download for free. No more white plugs. It's run great for over 11,000 miles.

I did the A/C and download yesterday. Took the bike for a good long ride last night. Bike runs great, lots more torque and no drivability issues. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't want louder pipes but would like their bike to run better.
