Default install engine guards instructions

I recently purchased

Drag Specialties

Big Buffalo Engine Bars - 0506-0510 (for Harley 2005 FXDWG)

It did not come with installation instructions. I have been unsuccessful in obtaining them from the purchasing company.

I'm not sure what to take apart and reassemble on the lower bolts to secure it. Can someone provide me some specific instructions on the FXDWG
thanks

Looks like you have forwards. Those types of crash protections usually don’t go along with forwards.

Just a tip for next time: take better pictures

That part with the two holes at the ends of your crashbar is attached to the 'downtubes' coming from the steering head. You should have a couple of 'u-clamps' supplied to secure it. Top part goes into the hole between the 'down tubes' at the top of the crash bar.

Bottom connects to the mounting bungs for your forward controls (this bar will work with forwards, but not extended forwards) and the top mount goes right where the down tubes meet near the neck.

Unbolt the peg mounts and the brakets with the two holes go between the frame and the peg mounts. Remount the pegs with the original bolts. Use the bolt, nut, and washers to bolt the top of the crash bar to the hole under the neck.

Mines must be the older type, sorry.

I have Dyna Low Rider with forwards. Cant seem to find a crash bar to fit my bike. I can find 2006-up but they all say they don't fit my 2005. Is there really a big difference between 2005 and 2006-Up?

I want to know if maybe the charts only go back to 2006!
