While I know some have "mixed" feeling about BBC, this is something interesting he is doing:
I am glad I saw this. I was thinking about doing exactly this, but after seeing it, I like the Dyna frame better. It makes it look like a bagger frame, IMO.

My 92 super glide. The biggest plus that an fxr has over a dyna is the weight. The stiffer frame, better swing arm set -up are all great, but the one thing that can not be matched by a dyna is the weight factor.
Near and dear to my heart...man I LOVE my FXR..the frame and the stance is just so awesome...handling cannot be beat...A big engine and light weight=win....Also have had a few Dynas, including my current Street Bob that i just traded my bagger in to get. LOVE it as well, Lightweight with a 6 speed and a TC 103.....unreal....i'm grateful to be able to have both models that are unfortunately no longer being made. There are other Manufactures that are releasing new versions of the FXR frame to accept both EVO and TC engines. Long may these models live!!!
I have this one I'm going to build up soon. I have a S&S TC 124" and a Baker 6 for it already. Will be doing performance suspension, brakes and paint. Should be a fun little ripper.
I've been keeping my eye on this for sometime now, but first off I think it needs said BBC is doing this conversion on a totaled out LRS. I don't know it they are going too offer this as a kit in the future or not.......... I do wish they would update the build progress.
