Possible Stale Gas!

Possible Stale Gas!
I have a 2011 Wide Glide in Florida that I do not ride often. Took her out yesterday for an extended ride. I wanted to run the gas tank down before I refilled. After riding for about a half hour, I noticed a few periods of a noticeable Blog and Surge. Pulled into a gas station and filled the tank up. After the tank was refilled, the bike ran perfect. Possibly reaction to aged gas in the tank? Never happened before.

Could've been a bit of water in the old fuel. When you diluted it with fresh stuff, issue went away. I'd add a little something to at least stabilize the fuel ...
I used to use seafoam, but switched to startron. Add a little at the last tank full when it's getting too cold for my achy hands and bones to ride. In the spring, it runs without issue.

The real question is when was the last time you filled it? Also, are you sure you didn't run the tank down farther than you intended to? "[A] few periods of a noticeable Blog and Surge" could be explained by running out of gas.
