I can’t understand why people when they say it’s well worth it..? It’s overpriced af, like everything from hd!
But again... I had the same problem as you when I was in search of a similar par of HD’s side mirrors with “indicators”. Nothing from the aftermarket could compare, style wise. Long story short, I bought it from hd... lol. Not worth it tho, but it’s the only style that I liked. My advice is to keep your eyes open for second hand. I’ve seen a couple of flush mount gas caps for cheap before. Good luck

Well when none of the cheaper alternatives come close in quality and appearance, I guess that points to paying more for the right HD part being "worth it" in my book. I don't always buy HD stuff and I agree that a lot of it is expensive, but generally the fit and finish is superior to cheaper alternatives

Just because it says HD on the part doesn’t mean it’s quality
Speaking from multiple experience, the 'pop up' gets dirt, water, etc, in them and they fail to pop up, and being flush, no way to grab the cap. I have a new custom console and gas cap in the garage, but I am hesitant about using it because of this. I might get a different cap for it.

Been rocking mine for a few years now and never had that issue with the HD setup. Only issue I have is I have to remove my glove to be able to rotate the cap and pop it up. Gloves tend to slip on it.

Good deal, I hope you never have a problem with it!!!!
