So I purchased a 2012 FXDB with a lot of oxidized parts. Especially the front fork sliders. Purchased black powder coated replacement fork sliders for 06-up Dyna.
Now in order to get wheel back on I had to add two 1/8” spacers on caliper side(disc won’t fit in caliper anymore). Why? It just feels wrong and now my wheel doesn’t look centered under fender. Don’t like it. Can anybody chime in explain why this happened? Or how to fix it right? It has a spacer on each side of axle the same size stock. Now two added washers on caliper side. Before After Now One of spacer
Hey thanks Texasscootertrash...I didn’t get a measurement of my spacers. But they were both exact same size. When removing my wheel I never fully removed the axle from wheel. To make sure not to mix anything up. After seeing what was going on I did remove axle to compare both spacers to verify and they were both same size. I did space out the right side two 1/8” washers. So now I’m wandering if a 3/4” spacer on the other side will do the trick instead. I honestly didn’t check before I did the change if there was a gap on either side. Damnit
