This is a 2013 FXCD. Just got it with 1100 miles on it. BUT it is way to loud. I can see me getting run out of a campground starting it at 6 AM.
I have no idea what exhaust this is. Any help?
I'm sure someone here will know what it is. But whatever it is, it's real short and you'll never make it quiet enough not to **** off the campers. Pretty sure you're gonna have to start over. The cheapest and quietest way to go is a set of stock take off pipes. They shouldn't be too hard to find. It might be too quiet for you, so keep that in mind.
BTW, congrats on the new ride, looks very nice.
Thank for the reply! All my bikes I have always pretty much kept stock. I love the way this sounds. Hate to have to change them but I can see what is coming if I don't with my circumstances.
Thanks for replying. One would think there would a company would have their logo on their product. I search all over them and nada. I am guessing the decorative end caps are something that can be added and might not even be part of the original pipes??? I gotta say the bike sounds awesome the way it is!
If those are Samson shorties, I also had a set of those on my SB. I had to change it out cuz they were also way too loud! it would have been when I got a noise ticket, not if! Great sound but way too loud and the short ones will never be quieter!
Ended up with Vance and Hines Pro pipe 2 into 1....sound really good with stock baffles that came with.
