That mount is killer. Nice work. I always thought a good thing to put in those old gauge holes would be Aux and USB ports for charging your phone. Find one from an automotive application that has a flip down cover and it would look legit.

Google "marine USB port". Lots of options. Particularly from West Marine.
If I had $25K just sitting in the bank as blow money, it would be one thing, but it sucks right now. I just found out yesterday my work is tentatively scheduled to start back on May 4 now. I'm going to try to get all my home projects done before that. I would rather be working making money though.

Kayak applications are also interesting.

My youngest is laid off 'til July and my ex is on reduced hours and working from home. My brother is trying to find a job in another state and has had two offers postponed indefinitely.
Any brake I would consider would be hobby/light duty. Eastwood, Grizzly, etc. NFW could I justify an industrial metal worker or hydro press brake. I used to have access to that kind of stuff but NAFTA sent that job to Mexico.
Right this moment I'm fairly OK since I work in trucking now. Still not spending $...just in case things go sideways.
it is interesting to note that bending the piece, while the two bends where parallel, it caused the bolt holes to draw in closer to each other by an 1/8-inch.
Your bend allowances (the material consumed in the bends themselves) shorten the legs, which is why the holes end up closer together. There's all kinds of calculations you can do to figure it out, but, if it was 1/8", then re-do the drawing extending the legs enough to move the bolt holes another 1/8" apart and you should be good to go when it's all done. Thicker metal or larger radius bends will increase the amount of metal you need to make the bend.
Are you getting any glare from the screen? Nice skills....
That is yet to be seen. The angle of the phone is aiming at the top of my chest, if that makes sense, to theoretically prevent glare, but we will see. I do not get any from the gauges.
Dropped off the bracket to the powder coater and ordered 12-point longer bolts from Diamond Engineering to put the icing on the cake.
After putting on the Diamond Engineering 12-points on the motor, and seeing what a difference that made, the rest of the bike is slowly going to convert.
Once everything is put together, I'll take a final pic.
