I have an 06 street bob. It came with mid controls when new but over the years one of the previous owners swapped them out for forwards and removed the shaft going through the primary. I prefer mids and want to tackle getting them back on the bike. I have the footpegs and controls. Also purchased the shaft that goes through the trans. Now Im seeing that theres a bushing and a seal That go on that shaft. Is the shifter shaft that is attached to the transmission itself the same regardless of forward or mid? Also is there any other parts Im not finding here? Ive read through a few posts of the switch and most seem to include various seals and o rings that people change for maintenance to purposes. But I just want to make sure Im not missing anything extremely important to get the shaft back through the primary.
