i run this on my ‘06 FXDCi, and I’ve got the HD Daymaker on my ‘03 FXD. The company itself is named Moto Illumination. They have a social media page, Facebook I think. The headlight on my ‘03 doesn’t even compare!

It’s plug-and-play, no adapter or anything required. They give you an option instead of the basic black face to order it with a custom face (not the bulbs) color.
The basic black model I ordered was a whopping $125. They even contacted me a couple weeks later doing a quality satisfaction check. They are a real good company. 👍🏼

I had this same light on my bike for a couple of years... I'm actually much happier with the $49 Amazon Wisamic I'm using now. But yes, it was much better than the original headlight!

For a long time I ran a Cibie E code. For a while with a 70/65 bulb, then with either a 130/100 or a 130/90. The light pattern was fantastic, the sweep on the right let you see things long before you got there. The annoying part is, when you have lots light thrown under "control", the reflectivity of some items can be annoying, so I went back to the 70/65. When the LEDs came out I made the switch to them to save power to use for my heated gear. The light is not as good but usable. I would love to try the Speaker 8790A. I've been told that the light is not as "bright" but the pattern is much better. Kinda hard to make that bet again.

On my metric, I tried a pair of the Catizon/evick (sp?) F2 LED bulbs last week. These appear to be designed to act like the filaments of a halogen bulb. So far they appear ok, they have the pattern I expected, the color is good (5000k white not blue). Good reviews from others that I ride with. Unfortunately I didn't do before and after pictures and I really don't feel like futzing with the tupperware again. If they work out ok in the long run, I may try this in the old Cibie glass.

The Cibie E-Codes throw a great pattern for a car but I don't think I'd like them near as much on a bike...at least not when the road bends.

GTR Lighting and Morimoto also make LED replacement bulbs that work well in halogen housings. I've got three pairs of GTRs (2 Ultras and a CSP) in three different housings and all work fantastic. One low beam projector, one low beam complex reflector, and one high beam complex reflector.

I’ve had the Truck Light, Daymaker and JW Adaptive version 1.
Truck Light sucks for daytime visibility
Daymaker gives a whiter farther narrower beam
JW is good for town roads and turns

No. When I was researching a light, I read the reviews and liked the feature set of the JW.
-Aside from the "adaptive" feature, does straight line illumination exceed other lights you've used?
I’ve got buddies with the Moons fly eye, Custom Dynamics and a couple with the Amazon ones. Mine definitely has more throw, and the color is better IMHO.
-Are you equally happy with high and low beam performance?
YES! Lowbeam isn’t bright, and high beam is ridiculous.
-Does the adaptive functionality work well hustling on a twisty road after dark, or does it not really light up the right portion of road?
This is the best thing about the light and honestly the main reason I went with the JW. And yes it really works as advertised.
-They make the same light without the adaptive function for about $150 less... Do you find this functionality worth the $?
ABSOLUTELY!!!

I would certainly pay for the light, provided it's as good as advertised... But I would be irked if a $500 light wasn't "GREAT."

Thanks!
Hope this helps.
