i am really not satisfied with the light output from my BO not much lighting choices for the 5 3/4 headlight.
i haven't seen anything on the newer led bulbs (i do know they have a large "ballast" type thing on the back and not sure it will fir the headlight bucket.
i would just throw an HID in there but that just makes the crappy headlight brighter not really better per se.
I would also recommend the Daymaker headlight. I was looking at the lighting options and even considered adding extra lights to help but after viewing a video about the Daymaker headlight I went out and bought it. I've never regretted it, despite the price.
My wife has a 2014 CVO Deluxe with the Daymaker light and passing lamps. I am impressed with the lighting coverage. I was riding behind her and I used her lights to drive. But the HD price is expensive, should be other alternatives out there.
DK, would you recommend the LED or the Vision X for the passing lamps if I were to use the LED bulb?
The passing lamps are not H4 bulbs...they take a different bulb.
In about a week we'll have LED bulbs that fit the passing lamps on the website. Below is a picture of the LED headlight, the LED passing light on one side and a new stock HD bulb on the other.
A Vision X type bulb will not be as yellow as the stock bulb, but not as white as the LED...it is about halfway in between. I would go with the LED bulb for the passing lights...not only so they match, but the whiter the light, the better our eyes see the road at night.
